This pigtail adapter is commonly used with generators or an RV connection with the standard TT-30 plug. It converts the 30A outlet into a standard household 15/20A receptacle, allowing a regular extension cord to be plugged into it. The female connector is clear blue with protruding wings for better leverage while holding it, and the male plug has a flat plug design.

This pigtail adapter cord plugs into the standard 30A RV outlet (TT-30), which is also commonly found on generators. It has a 50A 125/250V locking connector (SS2-50) for powering large RVs, boats, backup generator systems, and other devices. The female connector has a threaded ring that screws around a sealing collar or inlet to protect the connection from water damage. The male plug comes in a standard flat design to allow the RV pedestal to fully close.
