This generator pigtail adapter plugs into a L5-30 outlet and allows a device with a L14-30 plug to receive power. It is commonly used to connect a power inlet box with a L14-30 configuration to a generator without having to rewire the setup. The single 125V hot wire from the L5-30 configuration is split to provide power to both hot wires needed for the L14-30. Both the male plug and female connector are fully molded on this adapter.

This pigtail adapter allows a device with a 3 prong locking 30A 125V  (L5-30) plug to connect to a 4 prong 30A 125/250V (L14-30) outlet.
