This adapter is useful for attaching industrial equipment with a 6-50 plug to a 10-30, 30A outlet. The 10-30 configuration is commonly found in older homes for electric dryers & ranges.

This pigtail adapter converts the older non-grounding dryer outlet (10-30) to the newer (14-30) configuration, which has grounding. Please note that this adapter is designed only as a temporary solution until a 14-30 outlet can be installed since there is no grounding with a 10-30 outlet.

This pigtail adapter cord plugs into a NEMA 10-30 outlet, commonly used with older dryers and ranges, and has a NEMA 10-50 receptacle that is commonly used with more powerful household appliances.
