Generator Adapters

This pigtail adapter allows a device with a 3 prong locking 30A 125V  (L5-30) plug to connect to a 4 prong 30A 125/250V (L14-30) outlet. It is ideal for powering RVs, boats, and equipment with a L5-30 plug from a generator or other power source with a L14-30 outlet. Due to the higher voltage L14-30 outlets have, one of the hot wires is left empty in this adapter to prevent equipment from burning out.

This pigtail adapter has a molded 20A, NEMA L5-20, male plug that is commonly found on generators. The T-slot design on the female connector accepts devices using a straight blade 15A (NEMA 5-15) or a 20A (NEMA 5-20) plug. The female connector also features a built-in power indicator light that illuminates when the power is connected.
